Delia 3.0

A day after her 38th birthday, Delia Version 3.0 made her TV debut (at least, in my mind) - in Jennifer Ecclestone's package about the Vatican's™ new list of sins.

New sins, new Delia. Not necessarily correlated.

The new Delia has resumed her Vatican™ Analyst designation, which (I think) is a more respectable title than FAV™ anyway. No more fluff pieces about Catholic credit cards and tacky lawn decors. Just Delia at her best: thoughtful, knowledgeable, encyclopedic. In her natural habitat (Vatican™?), using her preferred mode of transportation (Vespa?), speaking her step-mother tongue (Italian?). In other words, the Delia of Shep's youthful imaginings.

We're happy she's back, sharing her views:

Pope Benedict XVI "wants every person to stop and think about their actions and how it affects not only their own soul but the community and the world at large," said CNN's Vatican™ correspondent, Delia Gallagher.

"I think he thinks that by doing so this, by making people reflect on what they are doing, in the long term that is what is going to create a better world."

Well, it is a better world with Delia in it, albeit via CNN Video as we're too lazy to record (much less watch) CNN shows anyhow. (Can they use better lighting next time?) Somehow, somewhere, Shep is smiling.

Welcome back, Delia!

I haven't seen Delia on CNN since Hurricane Katrina. Of course, I don't watch CNN anymore. I just can't stand any of their on-air personalities.

Delia should get her day job at 'Inside the Vatican' back so that I can read her stuff again. ;)

What a treat to see this wonderful beauty back on the air! She is so naturally gorgeous, sweet, and genuine, as well as thoroughly versed in her subject matter, that it was torture being without her! God bless you, Delia, and WELCOME BACK---WE MISSED YOU TERRIBLY! :)
