Damn Turner Broadcasting!

SO not funny!

These strange things that wrecked havoc on an entire liberal city, were nothing more than freakin' "Mooninite" giving us the finger!!! While the incredibly annoying duo of Kyra Phillips & Don Lemon were prattling on about the terror angle - complete with helicopter shots and live pictures of I-93 - their employer, Terror... er... Turner Broadcasting was taking its time writing a 1-paragraph e-mail / fax apologizing "for the inconvenience."

Needless to say, a lot of Beanfolks were PISSED! Don't they know we are still mourning the Pats' loss to the Colts 2 weeks ago? And now this???!!!!

Mumbles threatened a lawsuit, and rightfully so: "I am prepared to take any and all legal action against Turner Broadcasting and its affiliates for any and all expenses incurred during the response to today's incidents," Menino said in a statement. "Boston will look to coordinate our efforts going forward with Cambridge, Somerville and any other affected agencies."

Martha already beat him to it, though, arresting the fucker who so obliviously expressed his art all over the city: "Attorney General Martha Coakley scheduled a 9 p.m. press conference to announce the arrrest of Peter Berdvosky, an Arlington artist.

On his personal website, he posted pictures of a small group installing the figures -- little square-shaped men frowning and making an obscene gesture -- on the exterior wall of a hospital, on the awning of a Cambridge bar, at an Urban Outfitters, and a bridge."

Am I the only one who finds AG Coakley HOT?

Okay... moving on...

Delia was on American Morning yesterday to talk about something called Ashura. No, it's not some hot Latina singer, but a Muslim holy day about some guy named Hussein.

DELIA GALLAGHER, CNN FAITH AND VALUES CORRESPONDENT: Well, Ashura is the Shia religious commemoration of the killing of Mohammed's grandson. And you remember that the traditional split between Sunnis and Shias is over the question of who's going to succeed Mohammed. Should it be somebody, one of his descendants, or could it be somebody from his inner circle, as the Sunnis believe? So you can imagine that the martyrdom, the killing of the grandson of Mohammed, somebody from one of his descendants, has a huge affect on the Shia populations, and they celebrated it as a day of mourning. As you say, kind of wearing black. They beat themselves with metal chains on their backs, on their heads, and they do these pilgrimages to the burial site of Hussein, the grandson of Mohammed.

Then she talked about the "Soldiers of Heaven" - which sounds suspiciously like those rapture, left-behind idiots: "We don't know a lot about them. They seem to be a faction made up both of Sunnis and Shias, following the Sunni line of belief that there is going to be a return of someone they called the 12th Imam, and this is kind of an apocalyptic vision of the last descendant of Mohammed, who is this 12th Imam, who will come back and usher in a period of peace. And this faction -- that's a general Shia belief, but this faction believes that they can help usher in that period of peace by killing off the Shia clerics that are now in power. So that seems to be at least part of their motivation." What, no getting beamed up to heaven?

Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Mooninites... I sense a conspiracy. If only I could care a little less...
