Her Hotness, Delia Gallagher, will speak at the Religion Communicators Council meeting in NYC next week, 15 November. Here are the details:

We are excited to announce that CNN's "Faith and Values" correspondent Delia Gallagher will speak at the Religion Communicators Council meeting at noon. The meeting will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Second Floor, 125 Columbus Avenue and 65th Street.

The cost for each event is $12 for members, $17 for non-members. Please RSVP to Wendy Whiteside (email link at the website).

Delia Gallagher is the CNN Correspondent for "Faith and Values," a new beat created by CNN to examine religious issues. Ms. Gallagher is currently based in New York, and had worked in Rome for seven years. In Rome, she was a CNN Vatican analyst, providing on-air analysis for events at the Vatican, including the 2005 papal funeral and conclave. She has also served as the managing editor of the "Inside the Vatican" magazine and as a columnist for the ZENIT Web site.

I've been asked if I was going up to NYC to listen to Her Hotness speak; afterall, I live only 1 1/2 hours away from Manhattan, and I had (notice the past tense!) this HUGE crush on her. The answer is NO - not that I cannot, I choose not to. Maybe I'd still rather keep my fantasy, my idealized version of Delia. Maybe because it is safer not knowing - she could have bad breath, she could be a bitch, or she could be just perfect - I don't know and I don't want to know (although by all accounts, she seems to be very kind and gracious and most likely has fresh and minty breath). I already know everything I need to know and that's good enough for me.

But if you're anywhere near the city and do not have any lunch plans for that day, you might want to take the Uptown #1 train to the Lincoln Center exit, Delia's gig is a short jaunt from the subway station. If you get the chance to meet her, please say hello for me. And take lots of pictures.
