FAV on the Internets

Yesterday, Delia reported on her visit to Bethel University in MN and how Fundie kids, while still against baby killings and homo-sex, are now also concerned about other little things, like Iraq and the economy and global warming - but take note, these kids still consider abortion and gay marriage as the greatest threats to humanity. Glad to know they still have their priorities straight.

While Delia was interviewing creepy kids, the DGAS has been vigilant in scouring the internets for FAV-worthy news, and we were not dissapointed. From now on, whenever we have the time, we will bring you FAV-pieces that Delia will not (or cannot?) report on.

- Right there in MN, GOP candidate Michele Bachmann (R-Loonytown) belongs to a church which considers the Catholic Pope as the Anti-Christ. In case you don't know, MB is the same crazy woman who claims God asked her to run for Congress.She also thinks Terri Schiavo was healthy, intelligent design is a fact while global warming isn't, and of course, homos are out to get you.

- Washington says federal funds can be used to teach abstinence not only to teenagers but to people in their 20's as well. Oh, how I wish this program was available years ago ... I could have preserved my virginity and purity... On a different note, abstinence classes will now be the hottest pickup spots for 20 somethings who just want to get lucky.

- But in Chicago, you don't need to have abstinence education, you just go to this Salem Baptist Church-sponsored haunted house - which shows you what hell would be like if you had sex, abortion, homo-sex, and other degenerate acts. Pretty interesting how this church can have such a vivid, detailed prototype of hell... have they actually been there? Meanwhile, the kids from Bethel University are now planning their Halloween field trip to Chicago...

- My 2 mommies may be going to hell, but I still have my godparents... the Catholic Church says that kids of homosexual partnerships may be baptized in the church. Which is an interesting conundrum since part of the sacrament of baptism is a solemn vow to raise these kids in the Catholic faith. But by whom, since obviously both mommies OR daddies are living in sin?

- And lastly... Satan wants the Democrats to win. Or maybe not, since the Atheists don't believe in him either - but these godless SOBs are definitely voting Blue.
