Benvenuto Alla Societá di Ammirazione!
Welcome to those who have come to this site by Googling or Yahooing "Delia Gallagher", or by way of Amy Welborn, Rick's Sacred Blog, or other sites who enjoy or just plain think this blog is odd but link to it anyway.
For the uninitiated, The Delia Gallagher Admiration Society Blog may seem freaky, stalkerish, obsessive, creepy, odd, etc., in which case, I can totally assure you, it's not. Well, not really. This blog has been in existence since April 2005, and believe me, we have already gotten over the freaky, stalkerish, obsessive, creepy, odd, besotted stage. Mostly, the entries here are The Shepherd's random thoughts on a lot of stuff, and, cleverly or not, always anchored to Delia, or at least, always punctuated by a screencap of Delia - or, as she is known here, Her Hotness. That's the whole schtick, the theme - it's like The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon or Where's Waldo or Carol Burnett pinching her ear at the end of each show. If you're already shaking your head, I don't blame you.
One thing that you will NEVER EVER find from this blog are specific personal information on The German Shepherd (i.e., birthday, age, address, etc.) Once in a while, personal tidbits will be (and have been) posted, but they've all been in regard to Delia, related to Delia, or concluded with Delia - which is only fitting as this is The Delia Gallagher Admiration Society. What society, you may ask? I'm not quite sure how to answer that question in detail, yet, as we are not incorporated in Delaware or anywhere; we're just a small, loosely-organized group from all over the world comprised of about 3 people. Mostly, I do the writing when I am bored or want to amuse myself.
So, welcome. Full indoctrination to The Society is only done quarterly and will require your full DNA map, Iris scan, and a quart of your blood. Just kidding. Welcome to my madness, my demented sense of humor, my liberal Democratic rambling. But mostly, welcome to Delia's Admiration Society - trust me, she's all worth it and more. Hopefully, one of these days, she'll grace us with her presence. I am holding my breath, but then again, I can breathe under water.
So Delia - how about a reporter's notebook thingy for your Admiration Society?

PS - My reflections on my mother is the one exception to my Delia excogitations. That is one of my sacred grounds.
