3-Month Review
+ AMDG
Delia Cara,
It has been 3 months since CNN's press release regarding your new beat. Wow, in news years, 3 months is like, what, 12 years?
Before then, there were just a few of us, a small band of brothers and sisters, who stayed long after the last camera had been taken down from Colegio Urbano's rooftop and the last cardinal had checked out of Casa Santa Marta. First time blogging for The Shepherd, I fiercely blogged anyway, occasionally posting some really clever stuff, a lot of times sucking so bad, sometimes getting insulted, but mostly just musing on how awesome you are. We talked about the length of your fingers and speculated on your summer adventures, we chuckled at photoshopped pictures and wondered about your religious leanings. Once in a while, we'd get deep and lament about the world, other times we'd be so silly with our picture captions. Someday when we're old and gray and fat and lazy, we'd look back to the summer of 2005... and would always remember it as our Delia summer...
So, 3 months into your FAV gig... some see your beat as a nod to political conservatism, and depending on which side of the fence they're at, either love it or hate it. Some think it is a waste of time, others the best thing that's ever happened to cable news. There are those who think you are plain hot and awesome, and others cannot be bothered. Whatever the popularity meter is, we hope you are not so keen on people's opinions of you - people will always have one - and just do what you do best: be Delia.
So, here again, is a pictorial review of the last 30 days:
1. On the day we reviewed your 2nd month on the job (7 November) and lamented your absence, you appeared on "Anderson Cooper 360"
a. Here you were interviewing Anne Rice regarding her new book...

b. The red collar and black suit outfit was a nice transition from your package to the studio - very Lestat-ish:

2. On November 8th, you were on "The Situation Room" talking about Intelligent Design:

3. You were back on "Anderson Cooper 360" on 11 November talking about Pat Robertson, the Dover, PA election results, and more ID:

3. Kyra was happy to have you on "Live From..." on 18 November to discuss...
a. ...Vatican Gayness...

b. ... and later, about the new Pope movie and Italian comic books...

4. That same day, 18 November, Jeannie Moos debuted her "Pope Wears Prada" piece on "Anderson Cooper 360"... you talked about the length of Eggs Benedict's cassock and his designer sunglasses...

5. On 19 November, it was on "On the Story" with more ID and Prof. Behe...
a. Here you were walking on campus with the good doc - it looked like a scene from "When Harry Met Sally"

b. And during the live studio audience Q&A...

6. Thanks to Vatican leaks, you got situated in "The Situation Room" last 22 November talking about the Gayness document with Wolfie

7. And that same night, on "Anderson Cooper 360"
a. your Gay Priest package

b. and then live with Anderson (although you were in DC and he was in L.A.)

That was a bad hair day...
8. Even though you were nowhere in the studio, "Paula Zahn Now" with Heidi Collins aired your 2 packages on 25 November...
a. The Intelligent Design thingy

b. ...and later a trip to the Denver Zoo for a creationist tour... Wow, that was a really scary thing to watch and listen to!

9. On the 2nd of December, you were live on "Anderson Cooper 360" with your politically-correct Christmas package
a. Here you were at the TWC lobby with your cuteness factor reaching almost a 100%

b. And live at the studio with AC himself...

10. Another "On the Story" appearance on 3rd December, this time to talk about the Vatican Gay Busting document
a. Your "Reporter's Notebook"; this picture, incidentally, will also make an awesome Christmas card

b. and your studio audience Q&A... where your cuteness and hotness quotients hit another high...

11. And last night, 6 December, on "Anderson Cooper 360", your Narnia package:

Happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception tomorrow, Delia. It's a Holy Day of Obligation, but of course, you know that. We know you have a roundtable moderating gig in Atlanta tomorrow, but we have a hunch that you'd find a way to fulfill your religious responsibilities anyway. Thank you for the last 3 months... it's made our TV viewing so much more... interesting, and in a way, made our simple world so much more... colorful.
Love,
Your Admiration Society

Shepherd,
Thanks for the awesome photo journey of Her Hotness. Nice!!! Especially like the pictures of DG with Her Other Hotness, Kyra Phillips!
Awwww, Herr Shepherd, once again you're showing your sweet spot. Even good Catholic girls would get that "funny girlie feeling" after reading something so nice. Ms. Gallagher is lucky to have such a devoted fan in you.
Bobby, what is that "funny girlie feeling"?
