The Fr. Barry Rule

My friend Fr. Barry, SJ, once told me that if I ever need to make an important emotional decision to wait one week and then see after a week if I still want to do it - in other words, one week to stand the "test of time." Eversince, I've always used the Fr. Barry Rule in some of my most important as well as inane decisions.

So - this blog as of today - is on a one week Fr. Barry Rule - afterwhich I will decide whether to delete this blog altogether and let it only exist in my memory and the Cached Limbo. Unless I can find 3 good reasons to keep it, The Delia Gallagher Admiration Society will be no more.

I added the picture to remind me of what this blog is all about...

Don't do it. Stay. We all love her hotness and you are the lifeline. We'll stay with you...

Please don't shut down the blog. It's ok not to update it constantly, but it's important that it does exist. You mentioned a Billy Joel song in your past entries; I'm mentioning one too, not so much for its lyrics, but more for its title: "Keeping The Faith".

Thanks, Bobby and Francine. You girls ROCK! I've just been REALLY busy with work and I've been operating on under 4 hours of sleep every night for the past few days (including weekends!) So, no time really to dwell on Her Hotness as I need to consume my few remaining brain cells.

So, Bobby, Merci / Danke (depending on what part of Switzerland you're from), and Francine, Salamat!

Francine said it best. GS, I know you are stressed these days, so it is even more important to have an outlet when you're back to normal..whatever that may be. I am going to keep checking in here to remind you of how much we love "Her Hotness" and you!

Hey, I know I haven't visited here for a while but please, please don't shut down the blog. You don't know know how many times I've cracked up laughing at some of the things you've written here.
You said you'd keep the blog if you have three good reasons and now, you do: Francine, Bobby and myself.
Three other reasons:
>Her hotness whom we've all gotten really fond of.
>Us Roman lovers need to stick together as Bobby told me.
>And finally, you make us laugh.

So please re-consider. We all love ya. ;)

I'd tell you to keep it up so that you can make me look sane in comparison. ;)

Look at the large number of hits on this blog. Then consider the high number of hits on cnnfan.com. One wonders how many google and yahoo hits? There were 500 analysts covering Rome, and yet you are the founder of the #1 analyst blog people want to hear from about Delia Gallagher around the world; smart, educated, above the fray; without parallel competition on cable news. Extend the Fr. Barry Rule and your reward will be just.

@ Alicia: My '03 posts look normal compared to this blog. ;)

And please, pray tell, Anonymous, what my "just reward" will be?

Everyday I pray to God will all my might that Her Hotness reads / has read the blog... just that knowledge itself is going to make it all worth it. She doesn't have to post a comment, respond, even acknowledge anything; just that she has read it. But I guess in the world of Vaticanology, even that is too much to ask. :(

That "reward" will be more than enough for me.
