Be Safe, Your Hotness

It seems that after London, Italy is next on the terrorists' list, according to Saad al-Faqih, a Saudi dissident. Of course Dr. al-Faqih, a surgeon, was just speculating based on "his knowledge of Al Qaeda and the Qur'an: Osama remembers the words of the Prophet: "You [Muslims] will make a truce with the Romans and will fight a common enemy." There are other versions of the same 'hadis' [a saying of the Prophet]: "You will force the Romans to a truce..."

I'm not an expert on anything Islam, heck, I'm not even a good Catholic, but I thought the Koran teaches peace. Maybe it's my simple mind, but I really do not think my God wants me to kill anyone in His/Her name. So let's just be clear: there are terrorists and there are Muslims and we should never mistake one for the other.

I am however, totally concerned about any attacks on Italy, not only because of more innocent lives in danger, but also because Her Hotness, Delia Gallagher lives there. Really. Plus there is something symbolic about a Muslim-related (no matter how misguided) attack on the Vatican - our very own Mecca of Christendom.

Which leads me to understand, somehow, the cause for which the terrorists are fighting for: they want us out of Their Holiest Land, Saudi Arabia. At least, that's what they say. But in the process, they are killing people who aren't even anywhere near Saudi Arabia. The logic just doesn't follow, but then again, maybe there's really no logic or reason involved when it comes to religion and fanaticism.

So, Delia, please be safe. I'd rather not see you on CNN at all than see you reporting on any terrorist attack. I mean that.
